Activities: Director for Artists Equity of Statewide dedication Show for "Lighthouse For The Blind" NYC (along with Mrs. Alva Gimble and Cardinal Spellman); Assistant to Yasuo Kuniyoshi in Woodstock, NY; Director of exhibitions of AEA-YMHA 92nd Street and Arthur brown two year series; Director of Tri-Centenial "50 Years of Woodstock Art"  Exhibition; Member of United States Delegation to the Fifth Congress of the International Association of Art, Tokyo, Japan, 1966.
A.G. Helioff has worked mainly in New York, Iowa and Mexico.


Awards: Homer Boss Scholar; Kuniyoshi Scholar; Woodstock Artists Association, Presentation Show 1960; Fellowship, Research Studio, Maitland, Florida 1961; Award for oils, American Society of Contemporary Artists 1963; Berkshire Museum, Oil Award 1964; Riverside Museum, Award for Oils 1964; Albany Museum of Art, Watercolor Award and Silver Medal 1965; Honorable Mention for Oils 1967; Windsor Newton Award for Oils.

Member: Executive Board Woodstock (NY); Artists Association (LIFE); Founding Member Parnassus Sq. Group; Charter Member and Director Kaaterskill Group Board of Control, Art Students League of New York; Executive Board National Association of Women Artists; New York Society of Women Artists; American Society of Contemporary Artists.

Statement:  "For me the excitement of painting is color - the raidance of light - its fluidity crystallized by the design of the space.  This is my continuing preoccupation, a limitless arena for the concern of a painter."
